Plant baseline evaluation
Analysis of Machine Performance Data
For many manufacturers, machine uptime must be maximized to achieve production and financial goals. An effective plan for maximizing uptime begins with an evaluation of current machine performance and maintenance procedures. With a Plant Baseline Evaluation from Rockwell Automation, our experienced support engineers gather performance data from new or existing machines and analyse it relative to optimum operating conditions. We then provide a comprehensive report that identifies current or potential problems and provides a course of action to resolve or prevent them.
Benefits
- Reduce production losses due to unplanned downtime
- Reduce liability for equipment malfunction or failure
- Extend equipment service life
- Evaluate entire production machines (including motors, drives gear boxes, bearings, etc.)
- Improve machine and production performance
- Identify potential machine problems before a breakdown occurs
- Fully protect your biggest investment - your operations
A Plant Baseline Evaluation can include, but is not limited to, the following services:
- Identify all items to be evaluated including drives, PLCs, motion, software, communication networks, etc
- Evaluate all AC, DC, tachometer, resolver and other devices mounted external to the drive cabinet
- Perform a section-by-section check of all items on the evaluation list
- Measure and record all pertinent oscilloscope signals for each drive in the system. These waveforms include:
- Incoming A-C Power
- Motor Current feedback
- Tachometer feedback
- Motor Field voltage
- Motor Armature feedback
- Digital/Pulse signals
- Perform vibration, thermography, MCE and other condition monitoring services on production equipment
