Reduce programming time by as much as 40% - using tag-based addressing
With Logix control, the CPU understands real tag names, like "tank level" and "flow rate" so there's no need to maintain a cross reference between tag names and physical addresses. There is only one address, the tag name, which makes programs much easier to read, even if you don't have the documentation.
Reduce wiring costs by more than 90% - with Kinetix integrated motion
In a ControlLogix system, the PLC and motion controller are in the same unit - there is no interconnection required. ControlLogix with SERCOS uses a single fibre-optic cable to connect the servo drives to the ControlLogix system. There is no Motion-Controller-to-Servo-Drive wiring. Additionally, use of the Kinetix 6000 power rail eliminates the need for individual power and logic control wiring.
Eliminate weeks from your development schedule - with integrated process control solutions
Integrated Architecture provides both DCS and PLC capability in a single, integrated system. Advanced process control is achieved using a ProcessLogix controller, which is tightly integrated with the ControlLogix multi-discipline capability. Both systems share the same I/O structures and networks, svaing integration time. Any applications that require both process and discrete control will benefit from the integrated Logix process control system.
