10:15am - 11:15am	Road Tunnel Control System: Large Scale Systems Integration Modern road tunnel control systems provide interesting challenges to the System Integrator requiring input from numerous control devices ranging from fan Variable Speed Drives, CCTV, Fire detection and HV switchgear. Road Tunnels have thousands of discrete I/O and several thousand data points which must be controlled and monitored to provide the travelling public with a safe environment and provide operators with a consistent view of the tunnel to enable them to act in the event of an incident. This session discusses the functional requirements and integration of this type of system. 11:15am - 12:15pm	Production and Delay reporting system for Vale Coal Mine In order to run a successful mining operations, management needs to know the answers to some simple questions ie How did we end up last month? Did we achieve our target production? If not what caused the delays for not reaching our target? What can we do to fix this up? What production will we achieve this month? The answer to these questions can be assisted by a set of simple production and downtime (delay) reporting tools. Presenter: Greg Potter: Senior Controls Engineer, Vale Australia	Remote Operating Centres Remote Operating Centres are a hot topic in the mining industry, and are seen as the panacea for overcoming the skills shortages and providing lower operating costs. This presentation looks at the business drivers for various types of Remote Operating Centres, and some simple principles for optimizing what the business can expect to get out of these facilities. An integrated architecture overcame these challenges, and provided a platform for operational excellence. 1:45pm - 2:45pm	How networks can assist the Challenge of a Connected Supply Chain, Secure Process, and a Transient workforce There is a massive opportunity today to use networks as an enabler to provide visibility of plant operations across the enterprise, to provide tracking and scheduling functions, and provide a safe and secure workplace. This presentation examines some key networking technologies, and how they can be an enabler for plantwide optimization. Therefore bulk terminals focused early on process optimisation and advanced automation. In this presentation we will show data from real-world projects including the world's first entirely automatic Port in Hamburg beginning from the grab unloader via the stacker/reclaimer to the train loading station.
