Do you have legacy 1326AB servo motors?

When converting from a 1326AB motor to an MPM (MP Series Medium Inertia Servo Motor) motor, depending on the specific application, additional considerations may need to be taken into account. One of these is shaft diameter differences, and the other is drive current requirement differences. Moving to an MPM motor may require a special coupling, and possibly a larger drive for the required torque. Consulting a motion specialist and using Motion Analyzer can help you determine the drive sizing requirements.

Additionally, can a 1326 cable can be used with an MPM motor. The answer is no, a 2090 cable must be used. Even if a special transition cable was created, there is a thermal signal transmitted from the motor that is on different wires in the 1326AB/1326 solution versus the MPM/2090 solution. This creates a cable incompatibility. Thus, the MPM motor will need to be paired with the associated 2090 cable. If your 1326 cables are heavily integrated into the machine or surrounding equipment, then it is recommended to buy 1326AB stock until such time that full MPM motor / 2090 cable conversion can take place.
